Drive advancements in quantum science research, including quantum computing, quantum sensing, and quantum communications, for the design and generation of technologies for federal clients at Guidehouse
Requirements
- Doctoral Degree in physics, electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field
- TWO (2) or more years' post-PhD experience in quantum-information processing and/or quantum computing
- SIX (6) or more years of research experience in quantum computing, demonstrating a deep understanding of physical systems, quantum-information processing, error correction, and fault tolerance
- experience with quantum computing, quantum sensing, and quantum communications
- experience with managing a quantum-computing effort
- experience with transitioning research products to other organizations
Responsibilities
- support a team of skilled researchers to help drive advancements in quantum science research
- serve as a strategic technical advisor to program managers supporting federal client
- advise on advanced government-funded research and development programs
- provide strategic assessments of emerging technologies
- produce and present findings and recommendations to a team of colleagues and clients on the feasibility and potential impact of future research programs
- assist with the management of current programs
- facilitate the transition of program deliverables to stakeholders
Other
- Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal 'TOP SECRET/SCI (TS/SCI)' with a polygraph security clearance
- Ability to travel up to 25%
- Doctoral Degree requirement
- TWO (2) or more years' experience as a Technical SETA
- TWO (2) or more years' experience managing multi-disciplinary, multi-institution research
