Design, build, perform tests, and analyze optics/optoelectronics/photonics experiments in various quantum communications systems and platforms.
Requirements
- Research experience in one or more of the following areas: quantum optics, quantum networking, nonlinear optics, semiconductor device physics, and systems engineering.
- Experience developing innovative solutions based upon the application of relevant research results from a wide variety of sources.
- Experience with multi-physics simulation (both device and optical system), computer-aided design, and layout a plus.
- An expert in the lab with proven track record of problem solving in more than one of the following: free space optics, fiber optics, integrated photonics, microwave systems engineering, custom electronics design, vacuum equipment and hardware.
- A record of publications in top-tier, peer-reviewed journals.
