Requirements
- Experience with scientific and/or high performance computing
- Coding proficiency in Python or Julia, and one or more compiled languages such as Rust, C, or C++
- Familiarity with Git version control
- Understanding of atomic, molecular and optical physics
- Experience developing software for numerical simulations and scientific, high performance, or quantum computing in academia or industry
Responsibilities
- Develop new, improve existing, and optimize software tools to support a variety of tasks related to neutral atom quantum computing
- Simulation of trapped neutral atoms
- Research related to numerical efficiency and computing performance
- Help to define, setup, and maintain databases
- Analyze data generated from quantum hardware
- Resource estimation for fault-tolerant quantum applications
Other
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to effectively collaborate with software developers, physicists, and engineers in complementary disciplines
- Self-motivated, humble, driven, collaborative, and with a high tolerance for ambiguity and uncertainty
