QuEra Computing, Inc. is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to contribute to their neutral atom quantum computing research and innovation efforts by developing new quantum computing applications and designing/evaluating custom error correction protocols.
Requirements
- A background in quantum computing and quantum error correction.
- Expertise in circuit-level quantum error correction simulations.
- Proficiency with numerical tools (stim, qiskit) and prototyping software (crumble, quirk).
- Familiarity with neutral atom platforms, including principles of digital neutral atom hardware operation.
- Experience analyzing quantum simulation algorithms and their application context.
- Hands-on experience with HPC environments for large-scale numerical simulation.
Responsibilities
- Design and evaluate novel quantum error correction architectures and protocols.
- Drive the co-design of quantum applications and neutral atom hardware to maximize computational performance.
- Collaborate with the experimental teams to develop and guide experimental protocols and interpret experimental results.
- Contribute to research papers, technical publications, and patent filings.
- Participate in internal knowledge-sharing sessions and external scientific outreach (e.g., conferences, workshops. etc.).
Other
- Ph.D. degree in physics, computer science, or a related discipline.
- Track record of peer-reviewed publications in the relevant fields.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Motivated to translate fundamental research into commercial quantum technologies.
