3M is looking for an R&D Analyst to help develop and drive the product vision and roadmap for new product commercialization, by researching technical and/or business problems and defining system solutions.
Requirements
- Five (5) years of experience with SQL database-based solutions including SSIS packages
- Three (3) years of experience with full stack web development
- One (1) year of experience with Power BI or similar data visualization package
- Accolade Innovation Management Software (from Sopheon LLC) code/configuration experience.
- Proven experience translating business requirements into working software
- Experience with SQL Server
- Experience with Software Development Lifecycle
Responsibilities
- Work closely with cross functional New Product teams, Business stakeholders, technical leaders, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand their multi-faceted needs and translate them into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Drive projects to completion deliberately using project management skills and tools; execute, and monitor projects, fostering collaboration and innovation while mitigating risks and optimizing resource allocation.
- Research multi-faceted technical and/or business problems and define system solutions, aligning with organizational and portfolio strategies.
- Leverage full stack development tools to prototype, develop and implement tools that solve commercialization problems.
- Work directly with users to build what they need.
- Engage in all aspects of Agile development, including sprint planning, story development and backlog management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and QA, to ensure successful product delivery.
Other
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited university OR High School Diploma/GED from an accredited institution and a minimum of 10 years of experience in web development
- Experience planning and completing projects all while communicating timelines with stakeholders
- Strong critical thinking skills, and experience with root causes analysis (5 Whys) or frameworks for problem prevention, like CAPA.
- Strong written/oral communication, networking, and facilitation skills
- Ability to effectively influence, negotiate, prioritize, and make decisions
