Develops, implements, and maintains CAD automation solutions to streamline processes to help with the development and designs of various types of HVAC equipment at AAON
Requirements
- Experience using Python, VBA, C-Sharp or other programming languages
- Experience using computer-aided design such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks or SolidEdge is a plus
- Proficiency in utilizing a distributed version control system, particularly Git, with in a team setting
Responsibilities
- Assists in the development of 2D drafting/design tools to improve efficiency within the Engineering department
- Supports conceptual and preliminary models/drawings to be used for development of product
- Optimize processes to enhance performance, productivity, and user experience
- Maintain existing engineering records and designs
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging of automation scripts & tools to identify and resolve issues promptly
- Coordinate with other engineers, management, and the creative departments to determine design solutions
- Aides in communication with the Design/Drafting teams to maintain standards
Other
- Four-year degree in Computer Science (or similar field of study) or Four years of industry experience in similar technical field
- Strong collaborative skills, effectively engaging with colleagues to drive projects forward through clear communication
- Possesses excellent interpersonal relationship skills
- Travels, when necessary, for product development at other AAON plants
- Lift up to 50lbs
