The Data Analytics (DA) team in Characterization and Analytics Group develops big data analytics, machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to support R&D design and development activities within Recording Head Technology organization.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of LLM based agentic AI framework and architecture, including Chain-of-Thought reasoning capability.
- Experience with prompt & chain design.
- Experience with Python and common ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).
- Familiarity with prompt engineering and reasoning strategies for LLMs.
- Solid foundation in machine learning concepts, NLP, and model evaluation.
- Knowledge of reinforcement learning or fine-tuning techniques for reasoning tasks.
- Proficiency with Linux OS and terminal command line is a plus.
- Git version control.
- Web based dashboard and visualization.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement and evaluate agentic AI solutions that improve interpretability and reasoning performance.
- Document findings and present insights to teammates and stakeholders.

- Currently pursuing a Master degree or PhD degree in Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics fields and returning to school in Fall 2026.

- Ability to work independently with proven problem-solving skills and out-of-box thinking mindset.
- Good communication and teamwork skills needed in collaborative cross functional high tech R&D team environment.
