Johnson & Johnson's DePuy Synthes, a leader in orthopaedic and neurological solutions, is seeking an R&D/Product Development co-op to support the Soft Tissue Repair team in developing innovative healthcare solutions.

Requirements

Other

  • A current university or college student in an accredited Mechanical or Biomedical/Biomechanical engineering program in good academic standing.
  • Have a minimum scholastic G.P.A. of 3.0.
  • Highly motivated and can work independently on one or multiple projects under general direction and can exhibit an attention to detail.
  • Interested in medical device/orthopaedic fields.
  • Able to establish and cultivate collaborations and partnerships internally and externally.
  • Able to prioritize and manage time accordingly.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal), including experience presenting to multidisciplinary audiences and attending team meetings face to face and by teleconference are needed.
  • This position requires a full-time (40 hours/week) work week with a hybrid model (mixed on- and off-site).
  • Dates for this position are for 6 months beginning January of 2026.
  • A housing stipend will be provided based on eligibility, and reliable transportation to and from the work location is required
  • Students must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require future sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g. H1-B status) now or in the future.
  • Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future.
  • Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually requires future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.
