TE Connectivity's R&D/Product Development Engineering Teams need to conceive original ideas for new products, introduce them into practice, and ensure their successful development and qualification from market definition through production and release.
Requirements
- Capable of using Design Software (For Example: CREO, SolidWorks, Pro/E, AutoCAD. etc.)
- Familiar with MS Office software (Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook, etc.)
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, including machining, molding, stamping, plating, cable assembly, etc.
- A cable assembly design or manufacturing engineering background is a plus
- Knowledge of material (metal/plastic) properties and selection is a plus
- Good skills at problem solving, utilizing quality tools, a plus
- Knowledge of signal integrity is a plus
Responsibilities
- Work with the PDE team for high-speed cable assembly product development, which is used for data communication.
- Work closely with more senior engineers and customer/sales/FAE/PM in getting the correct and clear VOC (voice of customer) to assist in making an engineering evaluation/proposal to the customer.
- Work with more senior engineers to maintain a system-level understanding of customer applications and design/concept necessary for providing a solution to meet the customers’ expectations.
- Follow the LEANPD Project Process to support the project team from a design perspective to complete projects on time, with good quality, and within budget.
- Assist with technical support to customers, sales, PM, and manufacturing.
- Conduct necessary tests and engineering analysis.
- Assist in the resolution of technical issues in the manufacturing process.

- Bachelor’s degree required with three to five years of experience or Master’s degree
