Duracell is looking to solve technical problems related to cell testing, cell characterization, and alkaline formulation to support initiatives, cost savings, and quality improvement.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of statistical analysis of test data
- Can use powered and hand tools to perform post-mortem tear down and failure analysis of tested cells
- Able to fabricate cell components such as electrodes, separators and current collectors
- Can assist with bench or pilot scale cell builds
- Can learn to set up and troubleshoot cell assembly equipment
- Intermediate level Microsoft Office skills
- Experience with statistical tools such as JMP
Responsibilities
- Assist a cell designer with formulation design for AA, AAA, C and D cells to support initiatives, cost savings, and quality improvement.
- Collect, analyze, and draw meaningful conclusions from large amounts of cell test data using statistical tools such as JMP.
- Design robust experimental plans using sound statistical methods.
- Partner with manufacturing engineering teams on project delivery requirements.
- Produce updates in the form of technical reports or presentations for project teams or for peer reviews
- Assist Product Design and Process Engineers with trials that run in manufacturing locations.
- Coordinate and execute projects involving cell testing, cell characterization and technical support for the alkaline formulation team.
Other
- BS in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or related technical field
- Demonstrated capability to create clear, accurate, written reports
- Ability to present findings to audiences including senior leaders
- Strong sense of ownership
- Relocation to the greater Atlanta Metro Atlanta at a later date, with relocation support provided
