Hach is looking for a Test Engineer to develop design verification and production test systems for newly developed Hach products to ensure they meet performance, quality, and reliability requirements, optimizing technical skills in improving manufacturing quality and product performance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in hardware (instrument) test system design preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in common test software tools (i.e. National Instruments LabVIEW, Test Stand Certificate, etc.).
- Demonstrated experience applying statistical principles to analyze data.
- Experience integrating test system peripherals, such as printers and scanners.
- Experience working with common data communication methods and devices (i.e. USB, Modbus, RS-485, etc.).
- Experience with manufacturing quality and control tools (i.e. pFMEA, Gauge R&R, etc.) is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and deploy automated production test systems to Manufacturing Operations.
- Design and develop design verification test systems for new product designs.
- Participate in creation of test requirements and test strategies.
- Provide cost and schedule estimates for test systems developed.
- Ensure test system designs meet testability and reliability criteria.
- May fabricate test systems as required.
- Provide test system support to the Operations team by resolving issues and providing training on deployed test systems
Other
- B.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or physical science. Associates Degree plus 10 years of engineering experience may substitute for Bachelor's degree.
- This position is part of the Test Engineering team located in Loveland, CO and will be on-site.
