InterDigital is seeking to develop advanced AI-Enabled Services for mobile networks, specifically for 5G/6G wireless technologies, and is looking for an intern to assist with research and development.
Requirements
- Must have expertise in 5G/6G testbeds and simulation tools such as OpenAirInterface (OAI) and NS-3.
- Must have a strong background in AI/ML for wireless communications and 5G/6G communications technologies.
- Proficient in C, Python, Pytorch programming.
Responsibilities
- Research and Development in Agentic AI services for 5G/6G wireless technologies.
- Develop state-of-the-art technologies for enabling end-to-end realization of AI-enabled services in 5G/6G systems.
- Architecture and design of next-generation AI-enabled services (e.g., Agentic AI), as well as novel methods to interwork these services with select RAN/gNB functions, UE protocol stack functions, Core Network functions, and applications.
- Implementing and interpreting functional and performance improvements of Agentic AI services implemented within a 5G/6G testbed platform.
- Writing publications and representing InterDigital at conferences/symposiums.

- Must be enrolled in PhD in Computer Engineering or Electrical Communication Engineering.

- Must be available for part-time position from June 2026 to Nov 2026.
