Leidos is looking for a Radar Signal Processing Engineer Intern to create unique solutions for complex sensor and radar orientated problems
Requirements
- Pursuing a BS degree from an ABET accredited college or university in Electrical Engineering or related technical field
- Excellent math skills and/or possess and show good fundamentals in one or more of the following: Signals and systems, Digital signal processing, Tracking algorithms, Electromagnetics
- Experience working with Matlab, Python, or similar scientific-based programming tools to implement math or scienced based phenomenology related to linear systems, digital signal processing, tracking, or electromagnetics
- Experience with demodulation and interpretation of GPS signals
- Experience in high performance computing languages such as C++ including CUDA
- Experience in development or operations of radar HWILs
- Experience with ADCs, DACs, clock distribution, or embedded systems
Responsibilities
- Research and development of advanced digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms
- High-fidelity radar and RF modeling, simulation, and analysis. Related tool feature development and maintenance
- Integration and field testing of RF sensors and systems
- CONUS/OCONUS deployment of advanced sensor systems
- A variety of tasks related to signal processing, measurement tracker processing, system performance metrics, sensor simulation, or utility tools as part of larger efforts or customer goals will be assigned
Other
- Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a DoD secret security clearance
- Must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville – North Alabama, AL, area
- Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and a strong technical background
- Pursuing a BS degree from an ABET accredited college or university
- Sophomore year completed
