Children's Wisconsin is seeking individuals dedicated to helping them achieve their vision of the healthiest kids in the country. This internship is designed to expose students to direct practice in the field of imaging while completing a required accredited Radiology, Ultrasound or Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
Requirements
- Basic computer skills to operate a computer efficiently and effectively.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology.
- Ability to understand detailed instructions.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with the HIPAA Privacy Rule.
Responsibilities
- Assists in performing imaging examinations.
- Participates in and contributes to department projects to receive introductory work experience related to imaging activities.
Other
- Current enrollment in an accredited school of radiology and must be in junior or senior year.
- CPR certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross is required.
- Exhibits guiding behaviors that reflect Children’s values and support our mission and vision.
- Possess effective interpersonal and communication skills necessary to interact courteously and tactfully with patients, parents/families and members of the health care team.
- This is a very flexible schedule that works around your school hours, which includes evenings and weekend hours.
