JPMorganChase is looking for a Software Engineer III to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way, serving as a seasoned member of an agile team within the Commercial & Investment Bank.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Typescript, React and familiarity with version control systems, such as Git
- Experience building ReSTful APIs and asynchronous request handling
- Understanding of web development best practices and performance optimization techniques
- Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
Responsibilities
- Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Develops and maintains user interface components using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Typescript
- Deep understanding of React and its core principles, with a proven track record of building complex applications
- Experience with frontend state management libraries e.g. Redux
- Proficiency in modern frontend build pipelines and tools, including npm and webpack
- Strong understanding of ReSTful APIs and asynchronous request handling
- Proven experience with Distributed Systems and Cloud Technologies
Other
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
- Experience as a UI Developer or similar role
- Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
