L3Harris is looking to solve the problem of ensuring the quality of incoming and in-process composite and machined parts, circuit card assemblies, and commercial parts by hiring a Receiving Inspector.
Requirements
- ANSI Y14.5 GD&T experience
- Past inspection of military or aerospace products experience
- CMM experience/Romer Arm operation experience
- Knowledge and/or experience with Agile/PdM
- Working knowledge of quality assurance principles
- Understanding of Windows environment including standard Microsoft Office tools
- Experience and ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Responsibilities
- Provides detailed in-process and incoming inspections on flight vehicle composite components, machined parts, and assemblies using detailed drawings and established processes to verify conformance to manufacturing and design requirements.
- Inspects machined parts, composite parts, and assemblies for dimensional accuracy, using precision measuring instruments, templates, jigs, and fixtures.
- Visually inspects composite parts and assemblies for voids, porosity, delaminations, and other physical characteristics.
- Examines products for compliance to workmanship standards and proper installation of correct components, hardware, and wiring.
- Collaborates with quality engineers in developing inspection requirements and techniques and in implementing quality plans.
- Reviews new or modified drawings and/or work instructions for compliance to quality standards and recommends changes as required.
- Assists in evaluating defect data to identify trends and collaborates with quality engineers to make recommendations on process improvements.
Other
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 an Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
- Strong ability to focus, prioritize, and multi-task successfully to drive tasks to closure to support customer commitments and business objectives.
- The ability to work independently and with little direction
- Fundamental understanding of quality philosophies, principles, systems, methods, tools, standards
- Certified, or the ability to obtain certification to the above referenced workmanship standards
