Marathon Petroleum Corp. (MPC) is looking to solve technical challenges in plant operations, project management, and equipment reliability improvements in its refineries.
Requirements
- Proficient with pertinent issues of the mechanical codes and specification
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to contribute in a team environment
- Required Major: Mechanical Engineering
- Education Level: Bachelor’s degree
- A valid driver’s license is required
- Military experience a plus
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support in response to day-to-day issues of plant operations
- Work in a team environment to contribute to the technical development and project management of refinery projects
- Organize and coordinate projects within a multi-discipline team from conception through construction and startup
- Support the Refinery's maintenance department through design and development of equipment reliability improvements
- Conduct root cause failure analysis and optimize maintenance predictive and preventive programs
- Continuously challenge with finding new technology in design, materials and repair methods to achieve refinery goals
- Install new vessels and exchangers, and pump and piping modifications

- Authorized to work in the US on a full-time indefinite basis without the need for employment visa sponsorship now or in the future
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Valid driver’s license
