K-LOVE is looking to hire a Regional Engineering Manager to oversee the operation and maintenance of their radio broadcasting facilities and satellite uplinks in the South Central US, ensuring FCC compliance and high-quality broadcasting services.
Requirements
- Possess a thorough, expert-level understanding of Field Engineer III responsibilities and technical domains (complex air-chain, IP-based distribution, advanced microwave, LEO satellite (e.g., Starlink) technologies, and deep understanding of RF emissions and interference mitigation).
- Expert knowledge and understanding of broadcast air-chain components, including intricate IP-based signal distribution systems.
- Expert understanding of modern microwave and Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite technologies (e.g., Starlink).
- Deep understanding of radio frequency (RF) emissions, interference mitigation, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, routing, switching), network architecture, and common troubleshooting methodologies.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electronic schematics, electrical drawings, and construction drawings.
- Ability to carry out complex calculations in common broadcast-related formulae.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of K-LOVE's radio broadcasting facilities and satellite uplinks across your designated region.
- Ensure compliance with FCC regulations while driving excellence in our broadcasting services.
- Ensure K-LOVE's radio programs are broadcast to the highest quality by providing technical and staff leadership to a team chartered with installing, testing, operating, maintaining, and repairing broadcast equipment.
- Maintain expert knowledge of FCC rules and regulations, ensuring the department and all equipment operate safely and legally.
- Continually evaluate and make recommendations for process and technical improvements through researching, designing, and developing new technologies.
- Plan and prepare schematic drawings designed to modify and improve existing transmitter equipment, understanding technical implications.
- Direct and coordinate equipment modification activities to prevent interruptions in transmitting operations.

- This position will manage and support our field engineers and tower sites in the South Central US; therefore, only candidates who reside in the South Central region of the United States will be considered.
