Deloitte Regulatory, Risk & Forensic team helps client leaders translate multifaceted risk and an evolving regulatory environment into defensible actions that strengthen, protect, and transform their organizations. The Regulatory Manager will ensure software products and social platforms comply with global regulatory requirements and industry best practices, navigating the complex, evolving landscape governing data privacy, online content, and digital user rights.
Requirements
- Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies, regulatory frameworks and data analytics tools.
- Understanding of business processes, regulatory requirements, risk management, internal control management, processes, data and technology controls, or related standards and frameworks in the regulatory reporting space
- Knowledge of the structure and roles within the regulatory risk function at a tech or media company or within a regulated industry, including execution and oversight processes, risk assessment, reporting, controls, testing, or data analytics
Responsibilities
- Track, analyze, and interpret relevant regulations, standards, and guidance impacting software and digital/social platforms (e.g., CCPA, DSA, DMA, global AI laws).
- Lead or support compliance efforts regarding data, content moderation, intellectual property, and user consent.
- Draft, review, and update internal policies and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance with applicable laws and industry standards.
- Conduct risk analyses in partnership with product and legal teams to evaluate the impact of regulatory developments on business operations.
- Coordinate internal or external compliance audits; prepare and submit regulatory filings, responses, and impact assessments as required.
- Develop and deliver training programs to educate staff on regulatory obligations and emerging compliance trends.
- Maintain accurate records of compliance activities, audit findings, and regulatory communications.
Other
- 3+ years in regulatory, compliance, or legal role in software, SaaS, platform, or digital media sectors.
- 5+ years in risk management, regulatory compliance, or consulting (industry or professional services).
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Ability to travel up to 50%, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or in the future.
