The Rehabilitative Services Inpatient Department at Morristown Medical Center needs assistance with patient care and administrative tasks, requiring a summer intern to support therapists.

Responsibilities
- Function as a rehab aide
- Work alongside Rehabilitation Aides, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, and Speech- Language Pathologists
Other
- Applicants must be currently enrolled in a full-time accredited public or private College/University
- Preferred students currently pursuing physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, or a similarly related field
- Be in good academic standing
- US Citizen or permanent resident
- Work 37.5 hours per week and commit to a minimum of 375 hours for the duration of the internship
- Must be committed to completing the duration of the internship from June 2026 - August 2026
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Team-oriented
- Highly motivated
- This position requires safe patient handling. Must be able to provide patients with needed support during transitions, transfers, ambulation, stairs and other activities. In the event of an unanticipated situation, must be able to safely lower the patient to the floor. May involve pushing/pulling and/or carrying rehabilitation equipment and supplies
