The Department of Justice, Division of Child Support is looking for an experienced release manager to join their Child Support Technology Team to build and release batch jobs and promote code in Origin. This role will lead and support the development of the Origin system, the primary application used by the Child Support Program, across the state for the delivery of program services.
Requirements
- Required to use batch scripting languages, Powershell, Python, Jython.
- Required to use Angular, Spring, EJBs, and Hibernate frameworks.
- Programs involve the use of JAVA, JavaScript, Angular, HTML, XML, CSS, HQL, SQL, DB2 and WebSphere Application Servers.
- Five (5) years of information systems experience with release management and script development in Ant, Python, PowerShell, implementation, and support.
- One year of experience in design and implementation of CI/CD pipeline infrastructure.
- One year of experience in the build and deployment process of enterprise applications across various platform.
- One year of experience creating and following detailed build/deployment plans with rollback procedures.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage automation and release management tools along with scripts necessary for the construction, continuous integration, and deployment of software release using department standard development toolsets and techniques.
- Conduct business process and data modeling for unprecedented projects that involve new business lines or introduce new technology.
- Implement/integrate new versions or new software that automates unusual or new business processes that are complex in nature.
- Analyze and correct version issues.
- Lead and contribute to the design, development of standards, business processes, and the strategic direction of the Technology Services section.
- Design and develop new architecture for deploying applications to support internal and external customers.
- Research new software development and the best methods and techniques for managing configurations regarding a business’s existing needs

- This position may require on-call or after-hours support for the Origin batch process, as well as the ability to adapt across all functional coding areas when needed.
- This role is a hybrid of remote work and in-office work.
- There is an expectation of reporting to the Salem office once a month for scheduled team meetings.
- The finalist must reside in the state of Oregon by the time of appointment.
- Finalists must pass a comprehensive employment reference check and fingerprint-based criminal background check.
