eSimplicity is seeking a Release Train Engineer to lead the Agile Release Train (ART) in delivering value to government clients, improving lives, and ensuring security for Americans.
Requirements
- Demonstrated grasp of how to scale Lean and Agile practices, including the challenges associated with facilitating and continuously aligning a large development program.
- Experience as an RTE
- Certified SAFe® Release Train Engineer (RTE) certification
- Familiar with Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure)
- Experience working with development and test teams
- Certified SAFe® Program Consultant (SPC) certification
Responsibilities
- Provides leadership and coaching in the Scaled Agile Framework and Agile principles, leads the Agile Release Train, and is responsible for planning, execution, and problem resolution
- Facilitate the PI planning event and PI Planning readiness by fostering a Continuous Exploration process that drives the synthesis of a Vision, a Roadmap, and Backlogs, and through Pre- and Post-PI Planning events
- Facilitate periodic synchronization events, including the ART sync
- Facilitate System Demos
- Drive relentless improvement via Inspect and Adapt workshops; assess the agility level of the ART and help them improve
- Manage and optimize the flow of value through the ART using various tools, such as the Program Kanban and other information radiators
- Improve the flow of value through value streams by improving and assessing the practices associated with DevOps and Release on Demand in the Continuous Delivery Pipeline
Other
- Comfortable with liberally sharing knowledge across a multi-disciplinary team to coach leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile methodologies, practices, and mindsets
- Provide day-to-day leadership and management of assigned team members, including setting clear expectations, coaching for performance, conducting regular check-ins, and supporting professional development.
- Encourage collaboration between teams and System and Solution Architects/Engineering
- Establish and communicate the annual calendars for Iterations and Program Increments (PIs)
- Summarize Team PI Objectives into Program PI Objectives and publish them for visibility and transparency
