Graphic Packaging International is looking for a Reliability Engineer to develop, coordinate, and conduct technical reliability studies on engineering designs to assess the likelihood that a product/process performs its intended function over its intended lifecycle. This involves measuring and analyzing reliability, recommending improvements, and completing risk analysis studies.

Requirements

  • Requires the application of theoretical knowledge typically gained through formal education (i.e. a postsecondary degree) and on the job training.
  • Strong expertise in own discipline and broad knowledge of other disciplines within the function.
  • Develops solutions to unique problems of unusual complexity with broad business impact; requires a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovativeness.
  • Exercises independent judgment in determining the methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria used in obtaining results.

Responsibilities

  • Developing, coordinating, and conducting technical reliability studies on engineering designs to assess the likelihood that a product/process performs its intended function over the intended lifecycle
  • Measuring and analyzing the reliability of the design, materials, processes, cost, and final products of production
  • Recommending design or test methods and statistical process control procedures for achieving required levels of product reliability
  • Completing risk analysis studies of new designs and processes
  • Undertaking testing and analysis on failures
  • Proposing changes in design or formulation to improve system and/or process reliability
  • Develops new applications based on professional principles and theories
