Celanese's Cellulose Acetate manufacturing facility in Narrows, Virginia needs to enhance equipment reliability through analysis and troubleshooting to ensure the unit operates at entitlement reliability targets and anticipates potential emerging issues.
Requirements
- Ability to apply reliability engineering methods for equipment and process reliability improvement
- Strong troubleshooting skills with rotating machinery, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, low voltage electrical systems, and PLC control systems a plus
Responsibilities
- Utilize reliability engineering tools including; vibration, lubrication, root cause failure, and bad actor analyses to deliver holistic improvements of production waste, lost production opportunity, and maintenance cost
- Provide technical and engineering support on mechanical, electrical, and controls equipment
- Active participant in site Management of Change process, including generating MOCs for improvement work and reviewing other’s MOCs for reliability needs
- Develop capital project scope and justification as needed and support Project Engineering Department in implementation
- Develop technical capabilities of operations and maintenance 24/7 teams
- Enhancing equipment reliability through analysis
- First response, day-to-day troubleshooting of equipment problems
