AWS Infrastructure Services needs to ensure the reliability of critical infrastructure equipment in their global data centers to meet ever-evolving customer needs and maintain high standards for safety and security while providing infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost.
Requirements
- Graduate Degree in relevant Engineering discipline or equivalent experience
- 5+ years experience managing an engineering team.
- 6+ years experience in a supplier-facing quality or reliability management role
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, ISO-9000, quality control plans, failure and root cause analysis, and structured problem solving methodologies
- Basic understanding of both mechanical and electrical equipment/design related to data centers (Including but not limited to: uninterruptable power supplies , diesel generators, electrical switchgear, power distribution units, variable frequency drives, automatic/static transfer switches, chillers, pumps, cooling towers, heat exchangers, air handlers, etc...)
Responsibilities
- Lead a Reliability engineering team leading reliability initiatives for New Product Development and product sustaining activities.
- Define and lead execution initiatives to improve the success of new product development.
- Own and drive reliability test planning and logistics.
- Own and drive communication with customers and executive team on product qualification status
- Work directly with partner teams to implement new and improve existing processes and procedures, within their region and propagate globally where necessary.
- Drive strategic communication, provides a technical strategy with limited guidance within their assigned Region.
- Identify risks and complexity to unblock engineers and partner teams.

- Have experience managing reliability improvement projects and leveraging vendors.

- Open to travel 25% of the time
