Ingersoll Rand is looking to fill a Product Development Engineering Manager role for their Welch Vacuum division to lead and manage the engineering team in the research, design, and development of vacuum pump products and systems. This role is crucial for driving strategic growth through innovative product development and exploring new market opportunities.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of engineering principles.
- Technical competence in Fluid Power (Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Electromechanical Systems).
- In-depth knowledge of pump technologies, product development lifecycles, and industry regulations.
- Experience with strategic planning, project management, and process optimization
- Excellent mechanical comprehensions with the ability to understand, describe or discuss problems of a technical nature.
- Continuous learning mindset too keep up with evolving technologies.
- Experience in Life Science market spaces required
Responsibilities
- Oversees the development of conceptual and detailed product specifications, ensuring technical excellence and compliance with industry standards.
- Guides and review the evaluation and optimization of design factors such as function, materials, performance, cost, and efficiency across multiple projects.
- Champions the application of advanced scientific analysis, modeling, and simulation techniques to drive innovation and improve product outcomes.
- Ensures thorough validation of test results, robust failure analysis, and the implementation of effective qualification procedures for product reliability and safety.
- Develops, implements, and maintains engineering best practices, standards, and documentation processes.
- Provides strategic direction and leadership for the engineering team, aligning project goals with organizational objectives and customer requirements.
- Manages project portfolios, including resource allocation, budgeting, scheduling, and risk mitigation, to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
