Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Junior Java Developer to support a federal client through a fully remote opportunity, focusing on developing and maintaining web applications.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in Java development (academic or professional).
- Familiarity with Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and web services.
- Exposure to front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks.
- Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Experience using Git or other version control systems.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and maintenance of web applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Support front-end development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like Angular or React.
- Collaborate with senior developers and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement solutions.
- Write clean, testable code and contribute to unit and integration testing efforts.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and reviews.
- Learn and apply best practices in software development, security, and performance optimization.
