Precise Systems is seeking a Software Product Owner to lead product strategy and delivery for the Acquisition Management System (AMS) tool suite within a Kanban-based Agile environment, focusing on continuous delivery and rapid feedback loops.
Requirements
- At least four (4) years of overall experience in project management support.
- At least two (2) years of this experience must be in writing software requirements which includes at least one (1) year of experience in an agile software development environment leveraging SharePoint 2013 and Dot.Net as well as one (1) year of experience in Team Foundation Server (TFS).
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Technical Product Manager, or related role
- Proven experience delivering complex web applications or enterprise-level software systems
- Deep understanding of Agile delivery frameworks and Kanban methodologies
- Proficiency with backlog management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira, etc.)
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices
Responsibilities
- Own and manage the product backlog for a suite of integrated acquisition web tools supporting customers across the Department of Defense.
- Capture and translate requirements into clearly defined epics, features, and user stories.
- Maintain a clear product roadmap, balancing short-term deliverables with the overall long-term strategic vision.
- Lead and facilitate backlog refinement, prioritization, planning and delivery tracking.
- Work side-by-side with developers, UI/UX, technical leads and QA teams to ensure production-ready releases are verified, logged and validated.
- Serve as the primary intermediary between the stakeholders and the development team throughout a project’s life cycle, from concept to production.
- Engage directly with stakeholders and end users to gather feedback and ensure solutions meet mission requirements.

- Demonstrated ability to independently drive outcomes with minimal supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills – capable of interacting with both technical teams and government stakeholders
- Product Owner certifications (CSPO, PSPO, SAFe PO/PM, etc.)
