HII's Mission Technologies division is looking for a Software Engineer to support the United States Space Force (USSF) by advancing cutting-edge space simulation technologies and developing AI-powered visualization tools for national defense and space domain awareness.
Requirements
- Solid understanding of 3D graphics systems and rendering pipelines.
- Proficiency in C++, C, and optionally assembly language for performance optimization.
- Strong foundation in linear algebra, geometry, and mathematical principles for 3D graphics.
- Experience with rendering techniques such as lighting models, anti-aliasing, and post-processing.
- Familiarity with Unreal Engine, including profiling and performance tuning for both CPU and GPU.
Responsibilities
- Develop real-time visual applications for space systems and cis-lunar object tracking.
- Design and implement rendering techniques for lighting, shading, and texturing using GLSL, HLSL, or similar languages.
- Optimize rendering pipelines to ensure high frame rates and efficient use of CPU, GPU, and memory resources.
- Collaborate with AI/ML engineers and hardware teams to integrate visualization into broader simulation platforms.
- Contribute to multidisciplinary research and help shape the future of space operations technology.
- Design, develop, test, and debug software systems with complex mathematical and logical components.
- Analyze system capabilities and user needs to define software architecture and functionality.

- 0 years experience with Bachelors in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience.
- U.S Citizen and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
