The Ohio State University's Government Resource Center (GRC) is looking to solve applied health services and population health research problems through data analysis and reporting.
Requirements
- Proficiency in the statistical programming language R
- experience with evaluation design, survey sampling, causal inference, small area estimation, and/or statistical modelling
- experience with difference-in-difference methods
- writing code for reproducible and efficient workflows, including the use of Git for version control
- advanced degree in statistics, biostatistics, or other relevant fields of study
- experience in applied health services or population health research
- experience with data management and analysis
Responsibilities
- computing summaries and descriptive statistics
- conducting inferential statistical analyses
- developing interactive visualizations and dashboards
- cleaning, processing, and creating analytic datasets from a variety of sources
- assisting with the development of measures from complex, multidimensional data sources
- identifying and learning novel and improved practices for data management, analysis, interpretation, and reporting
- composing reports, whitepapers, and presentation materials
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree or 2 years of relevant experience with an advanced degree
- Successful completion of a background check
- Pre-employment physical, including a drug screen
- Ability to work in a team setting and contribute to project leadership and administration
