The University needs to design, develop, and support data warehouse and reporting solutions to facilitate effective data delivery for decision support.
Requirements
- An understanding of Relational Database technologies
- Experience with Relational Databases (e.g., SQL Server)
- Experience with reporting techniques and technologies
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI and Reporting Services
- Experience with Agile Development methodologies
- An understanding of Waterfall development methodologies
- Experience with the ITIL framework
Responsibilities
- Monitoring daily data loading processes and resolving incidents in a timely manner
- Developing ETL processes to support data warehouse and reporting solutions
- Developing and maintaining technical documentation
- Participating in solution/code reviews, sprint meetings and retrospectives
- Ensuring reporting and data solutions follow industry best practices
- Developing complex queries to support data warehouse and reporting solutions
- Performing data quality and validation checks to ensure accuracy of reporting solutions
Other
- Associate degree or equivalent work experience in computer science or a related field
- Ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships with stakeholders
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to perform essential functions, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science or a related field
