Cummins is looking to solve the business problem of reintegrating experienced professionals who have taken a career break back into the workforce through their RePower program. This specific role aims to address the need for a Site Quality Engineer who can champion customer voice, drive manufacturing excellence, and influence quality-centric decisions within the engine assembly process at their Seymour, IN location.
Requirements
- General knowledge of engine assembly and production test process within their assigned area
- Quality risk reduction - understanding of how to identify quality risks and hazards and uses quality tools to minimize customer impact
- Should learn how to use Minitab to analyses and resolve quality issues
- Root cause problem solving - able to use/ lead team in methods such as data analysis, Fishbone Diagrams, 5Y
- Strong Quality Systems Knowledge
- Proficiency in Quality Tools and Methodologies
- Minimum of 2 years of related manufacturing or quality experience required.

- College, university, or equivalent degree in Engineering or a related technical or scientific subject or experience equivalent is required.
- Intermediate level of experience required.
- Preferably 3-5 years’ experience in Manufacturing, Engineering or Program Management role in the automotive industry or a similarly regulated industry.
- At least two years of professional work experience and an employment gap of at least two years for a variety of reasons and are now ready to return to the workforce.
