The Institute for Geophysics at The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a candidate to process and analyze data acquired by drones, including conducting photo alignment, point cloud production, and digital elevation model construction.
Requirements
- Familiarity with photogrammetry
- Proficiency in data management tools and technologies
- Strong understanding of research methodologies and data management principles in an academic or research setting
- Experience with AgiSoft image processing software
- Previous experience analyzing data from drone platforms
Responsibilities
- Produce and analyze digital elevation models and orthomosaics
- Develop Python-based workflows for digital elevation model analysis
- Conduct structure-from-motion analysis to produce velocity and strain time series
- Other duties as assigned
Other
- BS in geoscience, engineering, or other relevant fields. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
