National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute’s (NHLBI) needs a Research Advanced Practice Provider to perform patient care and scientific research services in support of research performed at NHLBI
Requirements
- Master’s degree
- 2+ years of experience supporting clinical trials and/or research initiatives
- Must have experience working with both adult and pediatric patients
- Has an active Maryland license (NP or PA) to practice within the respective discipline or is scheduled to sit for the certification examination
- Recent experience in hematology, oncology, or stem cell transplant and/or biomedical research is beneficial but not required
- Specialized experience with Family Medicine and/ or a FNP certification is a plus
Responsibilities
- Function within a team of clinical providers and research support staff to support the coordination and execution of NHLBI research protocols
- Support biomedical research protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team, patients and families to enhance clinical practice and care
- Facilitate learning for patients and families
- Perform medical management of patients incorporating critical thinking skills with advanced clinical practice and research skills by integrating experiential knowledge and evidence-based practices
