Amgen is looking to strategically manage and execute its Science Advisory Forum (SAF) and Target Discovery Advisory Forum (TDAF) to advance scientific excellence and innovation within its Research Portfolio.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in biopharmaceutical R&D and drug development.
- Proven expertise in leading complex governance structures and facilitating critical initiatives across diverse operational landscapes
- Drug development experience including in one or more core drug development and commercialization functions and experience leading teams through governance process.
- Program and project management skills with experience in a healthcare-related environment, operationalizing critical initiatives, including cross-functional strategic planning, development of integrated plans, monitoring and driving execution to plan.
- Experience using Project Management tools, methodologies, practices and infrastructure, as related to the Biopharmaceutical Industry
- Applies project management and collaboration tools like MS Teams, SharePoint, and Smartsheet to enhance meeting management and team communication.
Responsibilities
- Oversees the SAF and TDAF process from planning to execution, ensuring alignment with organizational strategies to optimize program executions and enhance decision-making.
- Coordinates with SAF and TDAF co-chairs, setting priorities, aligning agendas, and managing deliverables for seamless integration.
- Develops strategic partnerships with internal stakeholders, aligning SAF and TDAF activities with Research governance bodies for consistency across communication and operations.
- Facilitates SAF and TDAF, ensuring effective communication and implementation by downstream functions to drive desired outcomes.
- Partners with commercialization community to lead improvement initiatives and streamline decision-making.
- Acts as the central contact for communications between Project Teams and SAF/TDAF, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
- Guides Project Teams through SAF and TDAF meeting preparation, advising on questions, responses, and aligning presentations with forum expectations.

- Advanced degree in a relevant field with substantial cross-functional leadership experience in governance within the biopharmaceutical industry.
