The Institute for Mind and Biology at the University of Chicago is seeking to answer fundamental questions about the mind and its dynamic interaction with the biological systems of the body, specifically researching the relationships between the mind, the brain and the body in health and in disease. The Brain Bridge Lab focuses on the bridge between perception and memory, investigating perceptual inputs and outputs of the human memory system.
Requirements
- Knowledge in relevant scientific field.
- Knowledge of research techniques or methods.
- Knowledge of regulatory policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of Matlab Psychophysics Toolbox.
Responsibilities
- Performs data analysis and manages data collection files.
- Installs, sets up and performs experiments.
- Maintains technical and administrative support for a research project.
- Analyzes and maintains data and/or specimens.
- Conducts literature reviews.
- Assists with preparation of reports, manuscripts and other documents.
Other
- Ensures compliance of research activities with institutional, state, and federal regulatory policies, procedures, directives and mandates.
- Provides general administrative support to, and interacts with, laboratory staff and research assistants under the direction of the principal investigators.
