Labcorp is looking for a Research Analyst to conduct cellular and metabolism-based high throughput screening assays, contributing to the development of medicines that improve health and lives.

Requirements

  • A year of experience in cellular and metabolism-based high throughput screening assays.
  • Strong understanding of analytical processes including maintenance and routine operation of mass spectrometers.
  • Competency with basic laboratory skills and instruments ranging from plate readers and liquid scintillation counters to Hamilton automated liquid handling robots.
  • Experience with multiple biological matrices such as hepatocytes, liver microsomes, blood, plasma, and various different cell lines is required.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting both cellular and metabolism-based high throughput screening assays.
  • Strong understanding of the scientific concepts behind these screening assays.
  • Strong understanding of analytical processes including maintenance and routine operation of mass spectrometers.
  • Competency with basic laboratory skills and instruments ranging from plate readers and liquid scintillation counters to Hamilton automated liquid handling robots.
  • Experience with multiple biological matrices such as hepatocytes, liver microsomes, blood, plasma, and various different cell lines is required.
  • Demonstrates a strong scientific collaboration with study coordinators and study directors throughout the course of study work.

Other

  • Conduct all work in compliance with appropriate company standards, GLP, GCP, GMP (where appropriate) and regulatory guidelines specified in the study plans, protocols, or work agreements governing the work in which they are involved.
  • Capable of working in a fast paced high throughput laboratory where timelines are short and meeting specific deadlines is crucial.
  • Willing to learn and understand new concepts with a quick turnaround in applying these concepts to study work.
  • Strong attention to very detailed oriented processes is required.
  • Be comfortable working with other groups in the metabolism department as overlapping analytical support for other groups can be required at times.
  • Capable of working with colleagues on a global scale with differing time zones.
