The Chervonsky Lab at the University of Chicago is investigating the complex pathogenesis of autoimmune diseases, specifically autoimmune diabetes and psoriasis, using mouse models. The core problem is to understand how T cells are activated, home to target organs, and cause tissue destruction in these diseases.
Requirements
- Prior lab experience to perform general biological experiments.
- Experience with transgenic mouse colony.
Responsibilities
- Maintains technical and administrative support for a research project.
- Analyzes and maintains data and/or specimens.
- Conducts literature reviews.
- Assists with preparation of reports, manuscripts and other documents.
- Installs, sets up and performs experiments; interacting with students and other laboratory staff under the direction of the principal investigator.
- Performs other related work as needed.

- Complies with institutional, state, and federal regulatory policies, procedures, directives, and mandates.
