SemiAnalysis is seeking an Analyst to translate deep technical insight into financial insight for their institutional clients, helping them understand how technology developments impact company fundamentals.
Requirements
- Working understanding of semiconductor and AI hardware value chains; an appetite to dive deep into architectures, manufacturing, and supply chain dynamics.
- Ability to build bottoms-up models from sparse disclosures and defend assumptions with rigor.
Responsibilities
- Translate proprietary technical work from the SemiAnalysis team into quantitative and qualitative assessments of revenue, margin, TAM, and competitive positioning for public and private companies.
- Publish concise, data-rich notes—including a weekly note—covering the most consequential semiconductor and AI developments.
- Monitor earnings calls, sell-side conferences, regulatory filings, and product-launch events; surface key catalysts internally and to clients in near-real time.
- Partner with technologists to originate new research angles, models, and thematic frameworks.
- Engage investor-relations teams and industry executives to deepen our knowledge of individual companies and the broader ecosystem.
- Support clients via calls and the SemiAnalysis support portal, delivering insightful and well-researched answers.
Other
- 1–5 years in equity research, investment banking, strategy consulting, or a semiconductor industry role with strong financial-modeling exposure.
- Exceptional written communication—your prose is crisp, persuasive, and backed by numbers.
- Comfort juggling multiple deadlines in a fast-moving news cycle without sacrificing accuracy.
- Collaborative mindset; you enjoy brainstorming with peers as much as presenting to clients.
