Aegon Asset Management is looking to develop the candidate’s quantitative and analytical skills as it relates to investing in corporate bonds and bank loans within the fixed income platform.
Requirements
Familiarity with financial statement analysis.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Familiarity with Bloomberg (preferred).
Responsibilities
Develop an understanding of fundamental credit research through the credit training program that concludes with a presentation to members of the investment team.
Provide support to the existing credit research team, including, but not limited to, updating financial models and other ad hoc research requests.
Assist in the coverage of a small universe of companies, including the analysis of earnings, news, financials, and other relevant information.
Maintain spreadsheets and databases that support the investment process.
Complete projects to further enhance the overall credit research process.

Are currently enrolled full-time at a college or university pursuing a bachelor’s degree (Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or Accounting major preferred).
Exhibit strong written & verbal communications communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Are detailed-oriented.
Must be available to work out of the Cedar Rapids, IA office and under a hybrid work model.
