ESPN’s Fan & Marketplace team aims to deepen fan engagement, expand audience, and optimize products and experiences by bringing the voice of the fan into decision-making. The Analyst will provide insights to inform and inspire action across the organization, addressing business challenges and opportunities through audience measurement and consumer insights.
Requirements
- Experience with analyzing national Nielsen data using NNTV and NPower
- Familiarity and/or experience digital/streaming media research tools such as Adobe Analytics and Comscore
- Understanding of quantitative methods such as survey development, sampling and post-fielding analysis
- Working knowledge of qualitative research methodologies such as online boards, focus groups, consumer panels and in-depth-interviews (IDIs)
- Must be proficient in Windows-based PC applications including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Experience with data query and visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau or Looker
- Exposure to social listening or sentiment analysis platforms
Responsibilities
- Support the execution of research projects by helping shape methodology, gather data, and analyze results
- Deliver insights through written reports, presentations, and interactive workshops with key stakeholders
- Contribute to high-impact research initiatives including Alternative Broadcast assessments, Sports Fan Spend study, fan segmentation, syndicated trackers, and audience deep dives focused on youth, women, and multicultural fans
- Track and forecast audiences for select sports properties across platforms including Tennis and Little League World Series
- Support the transformation of complex data sets into dashboards that aid analyses and help identify insights using tools like Power BI and Tableau
- Manage relationships with external research partners to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables

- Minimum 2 years of experience in media research, audience measurement, or related field
- Clear communicator with strong writing skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines
- The hiring range for this position in New York, NY is $65,800 to $90,400 per year based on a 40-hour work week.
