Natera is looking to hire a Research Associate 2 to assist in various lab duties within R&D Scientific Operations, contributing to the discovery, development, and advancement of novel methods and technologies for cell-free DNA testing.
Requirements
- Moderate hands-on experience with nucleic acid techniques (eg. DNA manipulation, serial dilutions, DNA extraction, PCR, qPCR, DNA quantitation and analysis by Labchip & BioAnalyzer)
- Hands-on experience with NGS (preferred)
- Proficient in Excel and basic data analysis skills
- Practical knowledge of LIMS/database query tools (preferred)
- Experience with laboratory robotics platforms (optional)
- Minimum of 2 years Molecular Biology laboratory experience required
Responsibilities
- Conduct independent experimentation with precision and expertise
- Collaborate with fellow scientists to craft comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) ensuring optimal laboratory performance
- Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail in the reception and processing of laboratory specimens according to standardized methodologies
- Employ advanced techniques in LIMS, database queries, and Excel to meticulously track and verify the accuracy of processed specimens
- Perform troubleshooting to uphold the efficiency of laboratory instruments and equipment
- Acquire comprehensive understanding of cutting-edge laboratory methodologies
- Apply advanced molecular biology techniques proficiently in laboratory testing

- Participate in Development, Verification and Validation studies to support product launch
