The Los Angeles Cancer Surveillance Program (LACSP) needs a Research Associate to monitor data quality, develop analytical tools for cancer surveillance, contribute to research publications, and provide technical support for cancer control programs.
Requirements
- Knowledge of geospatial methodologic applications
- experience in cancer surveillance research
Responsibilities
- monitoring geocoding and other aspects of data quality in the LACSP database
- developing innovative analytical tools/methodologies to integrate spatial science into cancer surveillance and data utilization
- contributing to the development of research documentations for peer-reviewed publications, technical reports, papers, and/or special-themed monographs
- providing technical support for utilizing cancer surveillance data in developing new programs for cancer control in the community
Other
- doctoral degree in population health related field(s)
- strong organizational capabilities
