The Ohio State University is looking to solve health informatics and biomedical research problems through advanced data management, statistical analysis, and visualization of clinical and research datasets.
Requirements
- Proficiency in R, Python, SPSS, STATA for statistical analysis, and modeling
- SQL for data extraction and database querying
- Experience with end-to-end data pipelines, data cleaning, and data quality protocols
- Visualization and reporting tools: Tableau and or Power BI; ggplot2, ComplexHeatmap, dplyr, rstatix, flextable, officer (or equivalent)
- Familiarity with health IT standards (FHIR, HL7) and HIPAA/privacy considerations
- Experience with intensive longitudinal or time-series analyses; mixed-effects models; non-parametric testing (Kruskal-Wallis, Dunn’s test) and multiple testing corrections (BH/BKY/FDR)
- Experience with dashboards and analytics for clinical workflows or digital health tools (e.g., Flutter-based apps, mobile health tools)
Responsibilities
- Support health informatics and biomedical research projects through advanced data management, statistical analysis, and visualization of clinical and research datasets
- Translate raw data into actionable insights
- Bridge the gap between technical analysis and medical interpretation
- Collaborate effectively with clinicians, researchers, and interdisciplinary teams
- Develop and maintain end-to-end data pipelines
- Ensure data quality and integrity
- Visualize and report data insights using various tools
Other
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required
- 3 years of relevant experience required with Associate's Degree, or 1 years of relevant experience required with Bachelor's Degree
- Project management experience, ability to handle multiple concurrent projects, and strong organizational skills
- Ability to pass a background check
- A drug screen or physical may be required during the post offer process
