Carnegie Mellon University's Department of Mechanical Engineering is seeking a Research Assistant to support projects in bioprinting, soft robotics, neurorobotics, and tissue engineering, and to provide research engineering and hardware support.
Requirements
- Experience in dielectric actuator fabrication and actuator modeling
- Experience in soft robotics and mechatronics
- Experience in 3D printing (FDM, SLA at a minimum)
- Experience designing and building custom 3D printing hardware
- Experience designing and building custom manufacturing hardware
- Familiarity with sea slug feeding mechanisms
- Experience in bioinspired mechanism design
