The Ohio State University's Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking a Research Associate to provide technical support for research on how cellular and molecular determinants in the neuro-immune axis influence cancer initiation, progression, and metastasis.
Requirements
- Ability to translate, adapt and apply academic and/or practical knowledge in the conduct of biological/health science research is required
- Experience in a biological/health science research capacity is preferred

Responsibilities
- Participate in planning and design of research projects. Execute and manage research projects using molecular biology, immunohistochemistry, Western blot, tissue culture, PCR and flow cytometry; prepares solutions and culture media; collects, sorts and processes tissue and blood samples.
- Collect, analyze and interpret research data; assists with development and implementation of new and/or revised research methodologies and techniques.
- Monitor and enforce laboratory safety procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, as well as local, state and federal regulations.
- Train research staff; manages daily operations of the laboratory.
- Oversees and initiates procurement of lab supplies and equipment, and monitor expenses.
- Oversee and coordinate periodic maintenance and testing of laboratory equipment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

- Bachelor's degree in an appropriate biological/health science or equivalent experience required
