Eidos Therapeutics, an affiliate within BridgeBio Pharma, is seeking a Research Associate to execute, analyze, and report results for biological assays for preclinical programs focused on Transthyretin Amyloid Cardiomyopathy (ATTR-CM), aiming to develop life-changing medicines for patients with unmet needs.
Requirements
- Enzyme assays
- 4-5 years in Pharmaceutical Diagnostic in R&D or GLP environment
- Knowledge of GLP practice desired
- Laboratory experience with Western Blotting and SDS-PAGE is a must.
- Basic knowledge of immunoassays and fluorescence biochemistry is preferred.
- Hands on experience in protease assays in plate format with colorimetric or fluorometric detection is desired.
- Ability to work with tissues for in vitro assays.
Responsibilities
- Laboratory operations related to enzyme activity and inhibition.
- Planning and execution of experiments to measure inhibitory activity of small molecule drug candidates against target proteolytic enzymes
- Adhere to company standards, and compliance in current industry standards and practices
- Adhere to safety regulations for handling and disposing of human plasma/serum and reagents
- Proper maintenance of laboratory notebooks and forms in accordance with company policies and practices.
- Routine maintenance, and upkeep of laboratory
Other
- Education requirement Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biochemistry, Genetics, Molecular Biology or Pharmacology
- Strongly self-motivated individual with attention to detail
- Good time-management skills
- Good interpersonal skills, flexibility and works well independently and within a team environment.
- Not required except physical laboratory presence during work week
