AHP is seeking a Research Associate I to support its team of leading behavioral health researchers in managing implementation of evaluation/research plans and conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of social science research study design and methods
- Previous experience with quantitative and qualitative analysis, data collection, proposal writing, and project management
- Experience with data collection software (e.g., REDCap, Qualtrics, etc.)
- Experience using Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) data collection tools
- Proficient in Stata, REDCap, MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and qualitative analysis and citation management software
Responsibilities
- Managing implementation of all or a portion of evaluation/research plans
- Conducting focus groups and key informant interviews with a wide range of stakeholders
- Conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses
- Preparing reports, presentations, data dictionaries, literature reviews, and other work products
- Participating in data collection and data quality/integrity tasks
- Creating evaluation training materials
- Preparing reports summarizing data and key project results
Other
- A master’s degree in social work, psychology, public health, or related field
- Strong organizational skills and ability to perform duties that require close attention to detail
- Ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders, including state-level administrators, behavioral health program directors, advocates, clinicians, and people with lived experience of SUDs
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Ability to perform duties that require close attention to detail
- Ability to operate in a team environment and to be flexible in taking on and performing assignments as necessary
- Occasional travel may be required
