The Millan Lab at the Department of Neurology is seeking a Research Assistant to support ongoing research activities, specifically involving human subjects and neurostimulation.
Requirements
- Ability to manage an active interdisciplinary biomedical research laboratory.
- Must be skilled with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with participant recruitment, administration of cognitive assessments, use of EEG-based BCIs and TMS systems, and management of data collection on human subjects.
Responsibilities
- Support delivery of BCI-driven neurostimulation and managing data collection on human subjects.
- Administration of cognitive assessments.
- Routine lab management including procurement, protocol development, project management, report preparation, data organization, record keeping, maintaining training logs and lab compliance.
Other
- Recruitment of and follow up with participants.
- Work efficiently and productively with staff, research teams (listen, seek clarification, and take feedback) and with human research subjects in accordance with institutional guidelines.
- Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills.
- May work around standard office conditions
- Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation
- Use of manual dexterity
- Occasional weekend, overtime and evening work to meet deadlines
