Altos Labs is looking to restore cell health and resilience through cell rejuvenation to reverse disease, injury, and disabilities. The In Vivo Hub Research Core needs support in developing and implementing in vivo models to assist scientists with in vivo methodology techniques and treating health cases.
Requirements
- Proficient in basic in vivo methodology techniques (e.g., dosing, sample collection, physiological monitoring, necropsy)
- Competent in colony software systems (i.e. Benchling, SoftMouse, Transnetyx, etc.)
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance functions (IACUC, AAALAC, The Guide, etc.)
- AALAS certification at the LAT level or higher, and/or RVT
Responsibilities
- Proficient in basic in vivo methodology techniques (e.g., dosing, sample collection, physiological monitoring, necropsy)
- Triage clinical cases, provide treatment and care for two sites including weekend and holiday support
- Maintain accurate records; competent in colony software systems (i.e. Benchling, SoftMouse, Transnetyx, etc.)
- Manages breeding colonies maintenance including selection for mating, phenotype, genotype, breeding performance, weaning and replacement.
- Conduct breeding activities including setting up matings, time mating activities, determining pregnancy, weaning, identification, and sample collection for genotyping at two sites
- Provide general husbandry, health observations, welfare duties and perform cage change procedures.
- Adhere to all applicable IACUC protocols, SOP’s, business practices and company policies

- Ability to work in a fast-growing environment independently and effectively with supervision under the timelines provided by management
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse group of scientists for various projects as appropriate
- Proficient written, communication and presentation skills with the ability to present to diverse audiences
